Mat ~

Incorporating the fundamentals of Pilates, this class follows the classical Beginner/Intermediate mat order, and is appropriate for all students.  While Intermediate level exercises may be introduced, modifications are always provided.  Although Pilates equipment is not utilized during mat classes, small exercise props such as Magic Circles, weights, bands and balls are often utilized to engage specific muscle groups and assist with body positioning.

Tower~

Combining essential mat work with the benefits of the Pilates Tower equipment, this class is ideal for students of all levels*.  Through a system of springs and bars, the equipment supports the body to ensure proper stabilization and positioning, while providing added resistance for strengthening, toning and lengthening muscles.

*Students new to Lotus Mind & Body are required to complete the 3-Session Intro to Tower training prior to joining a class.

Circuit Class~

Open to students with previous experience on the Pilates apparatus, this Beginner/Intermediate level class provides a challenging "circuit training" workout utilizing the Reformer, Mat, Tower and Wunda Chair. Students will learn equipment settings as well as proper transitions for optimal flow between exercises. Class is limited to three students.

Circuit/TRX~

This challenging class is led by two instructors, and is limited to six students (divided into two groups).  Students receive Intermediate level Reformer training for half the class, and then switch to “Pilates Suspend,” a core-strengthening workout utilizing TRX straps.

Pilates Suspend ~

Unique to Lotus Mind & Body, this total body workout combines classical Pilates with challenging TRX exercises.   The TRX tension straps provide ideal resistance for engaging core muscles, as well as strengthening, toning and stretching arm and leg muscles.   The class is limited to three students.
