Micole Linehan
Micole (yes, with an M as in Mary) has been practicing yoga since 2000 and is continuously amazed at the lifetime of learnings yoga offers. Choosing to listen to her heart’s wise insistence, she completed her 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training program in 2016 and immediately began teaching. We are thrilled to have her on our regular schedule as well as to be the studio's ambassador at the desk on Saturday mornings!
Micole provides a safe and supportive environment for yogis to learn and practice physical and mental tools for well-being. She utilizes the Universal Principles of Alignment to ensure the safe and healthy growth of her students’ practice. Knowing that yoga has something to offer every individual, she happily teaches a wide variety of styles and levels of practice including but not limited to basics/beginners, hatha and vinyasa flow, therapeutics and gentle, restorative, and pranayama and meditation based classes. In addition, Micole has a personal kundalini practice under the generous guidance of Ogden Kruger and Shannon Elliott and loves to talk kundalini yoga to those interested. Micole humbly asks all students to pause the outside world for the duration of class to journey inside the body and the breath – an immense gift to yourself and others.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and a career in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Micole loves leading Yoga at Work classes in area companies. She credits yoga for helping her light shine through while living with chronic migraine. Micole is grateful to all her diverse and gracious teachers, past, present, and future – both on and off the mat.
“My practice has evolved so much over the years - through illness and injury, circumstance, and introspection. Yoga is with me every step of the way. It is an incredible gift to help others find this beautiful, lifelong practice that will benefit all aspects of life."
